Laura Felice

Headshot - Laura FeliceLaura Felice (they/she) is a research assistant on the FIRST project at the Lab for Youth Mental Health at Harvard University. They are a first-generation American, born and raised in New Jersey, but growing up in an immigrant household has impacted their educational pursuits in many ways. Currently in their last year of Tufts University’s Combined Degree program, where they are studying Clinical Psychology (B.S.) and Interdisciplinary Studio Art (BFA), Laura has considered the integration of the two subjects and is especially interested in the psychopathology that arises from interpersonal relationships between child and caregiver. Also working at McLean Hospital as a Mental Health Specialist, they are interested in investigating the gap between research and community interventions for marginalized communities, seeing firsthand how these approaches are disseminated through a clinical setting. Outside of the lab, they enjoy visiting the beach during the winter, ceramics, and playing with other people’s pets. Laura is interested in becoming a LICSW or pursuing a Psy.D but sees the importance of research in order to further investigate and understand mental health. If you would like to get in touch with them, you can contact them at laura.felice@tufts.edu.
