Dr. Ariel Sternberg

Headshot - Ariel SternbergDr. Ariel Sternberg is a postdoctoral fellow and project director of the Youth FIRST Study in the Lab for Youth Mental Health. Ariel earned her bachelor's degree in psychology at the University of Maryland, and later completed her master's and doctoral degree in clinical psychology at the Arizona State University, completing her predoctoral internship at the Boston Children's Hospital. Broadly, her primary interests are in the creation and implementation of evidence-based practices (EBPs) for youth mental health problems in medical and primary care settings, with a focus on creating transdiagnostic brief treatments. Her program of research thus far has focused on two related areas: (1) understanding and identifying early markers of risk to prevent the development of disorder in adolescence, and (2) developing and researching brief transdiagnostic preventions and interventions to be implemented in hospital and primary care settings.
